Termination Payments

PILON termination payment is a payment made to an employee when employment is terminated without notice, instead of the employee working through a notice period and receiving pay in the normal way.

Recent changes to this Pay In Lieu of Notice, mean that they will now be subject to income tax and National Insurance Contributions regardless of whether the right to pay is or not.
